Loved this destination wedding and I love this Los Cabos wedding venue. The wedding planning company was Be That Bride Events and as usual the team was great. The wedding events took place over several days.  Starting at at Esperanza resort, Sunset da Mona Lisa and then finally ending with the ceremony and wedding reception at Cabo Del Sol. This could be one of the nicest couples in history. Every step of this wedding from the planning to the photos & video seemed to be flawless. Destination weddings in Mexico, Cabo San Lucas has several wedding venues that I love!  Esperanza resort in Los Cabos ranks one of my all time favorites. Sunset da Mona Lisa in Cabo has  the best view in town. So we put them together and Tatiana and Ilyia had their dream wedding. Alec and I have done several Russian weddings . No one knows how to have fun like the Russians. If you ever have the chance to get invited to a Russian wedding do not dare miss it!  Tatiana and Ilyia did everything right~ Starting with they hired  Be That Bride Events to help with the wedding planning ” Thank you Yarai ” If your planning a destination wedding and think a wedding planner is an added cost… you may want to rethink that? The wedding started at Esperanza Resort and then ended up at Sunset Da Mona Lisa. There was not a moment of the day that did not have something exciting happening! A sneak peak at a few  wedding photos!! Erin and Jeff decided to runaway to  Los Cabos Mexico and tie the knot! Very smart move. When we first talked on the phone I suggested that they hire Be That Bride Events to take care of all the details. The day was completely calm and relaxed.  We started at Zoerty Casa Del Mar for a few photos before going to Sunset da Mona Lisa for the ceremony and a few more photos. This beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Azul Resort wedding took place the end of April. The weather was perfect and the couple could not have been nicer. I was talking to Alec the other day about our clients and how we always seem to attract the nicest couples. I usually find that most people decide on a destination wedding to avoid the headache and stress of a local wedding. destination weddings are usually smaller and more relaxed. If I would have gotten married in my hometown It would have been a 300 person guests list at least. Instead Alec and I had a destination wedding of 80. I had my dream wedding. Almost 6 years ago Alec and I shot our first wedding in Cabo from that day I did not want to leave. Cabo San Lucas is a magical place! Claudia and Warrens weddings was absolutely magical. I cannot even tell you how many off the chart photos they have. I had a really hard time choosing the blog photos. What a beautiful day it was in Cabo San Lucas Mexico! Why would you have a destination wedding in Los Cabos? I can think of many reasons. Here is one “Memories” take a look at these wedding photos.  How can you put a price on your memories.? Your wedding photos are a direct link to all your memories. Pick your wedding photographer wisely. SSDML is not an easy venue to photograph.The back light is killer. If your Photographer can figure it out and get it right? The results are amazing,  like no other place. This venue has views that will take your breath away. I took one look at Kathryne and all I could think of was this tall beautiful bride has made my day~ and to top it off everything about her was kind, warm, loving and fun!! Los Cabos Destination Wedding Casa Dorada Resort, Ceremony at Cabo Catholic Church

A Casa Dorada wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Diana and Tim” Whom I love past the moon” emailed me almost a year before their wedding. They were in the very early stages of their wedding planning. Diana and I went back and forth on many wedding related things and soon became fast friends. When I met them for the first time it was in July, I think we talked for more then 2 hours  and the only reason we stopped is because I had another meeting and was running late. I knew that Tim and Diana would have amazing photos! When you are hiring a wedding photographer it is so important to get on the phone. Thinking about a villa wedding in Cabo? Check out this one beautiful romantic Cabo wedding. Wedding planning by: Be That Bride Events. Thank you, Yarai!! This was a wonderfully coordinated Cabo San Lucas event. Wedding hair and makeup by Los Cabos makeup artist Suzanne Morel. And last, but not least, Matter of Taste Catering who dressed in beautiful grey dress shirts to match the event. The day was beautiful. This bride Abby was–is–extremely special to me. When we first started to chat, she had originally wanted Esperanza, and then Las Ventanas, for her destination wedding ceremony. Both venues already had bookings so we decided the best wedding venue for this very intimate and romantic wedding would at a villa…and then one villa ended up to be three villas, and the weekend was set. Beautiful villas provided by our dear friends at Cabo Villas, a.k.a. Earth Sea and Sky. Cabo Villas has almost all the villas in Cabo San Lucas that rent for events. Abby I loved from the very start. If you look at the photos you will see she is so full of love, it just cannot be contained. An extremely smart and detailed bride that was on top of everything. I loved working with her and will miss our phone calls. The wedding weekend started with a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Edith’s Restaurant, then the wedding day was at Villa de los Suenos, followed by a farewell brunch the next day. I am looking forward to seeing Abby and Omar very soon! And to the mother and father of the bride, Becky and Gus, you both will be long-lasting friends. Dinner in Cabo is a must for all of us. Cabo San Lucas Destination Wedding Location The Hilton Los Cabos Mexico

This Cabo San Lucas destination wedding took place at the Hilton Los Cabos in Mexico. Wedding photos by: Alec and T. I love the Hilton for weddings and always have from the very first wedding we shot at the resort! BUT…I need to talk to whoever is poaching several of our copyright photos and placing them on their website. AND without giving us a photo credit! No, no, no, this cannot happen LOL. Alec and I gladly share photos as long as we get credit. Ok, that’s off my chest. Back to the Hilton as a wedding location…The resort is set up perfectly for weddings and events. The designated areas all work really well. The Hilton’s beach feels super private and the sand is whiter than most beaches! I love this beach! The rooms are not the newest in town, but they are nice, and the foods pretty good. My first contact was with Lisa 18 months before the wedding. I then spent over one year going back and forth with Lisa’s Mom “Darlice”; we e-mailed about many things besides photography. This is usually the case. A beautiful Cabo San Lucas wedding! Los Cabos wedding venue, Me Cabo by Melia. Angela and Robert your Cabo San Lucas wedding video will follow these beautiful wedding photos. When Angela and I spoke on the phone I instantly like her! she was gracious and kind.  I knew Alec and I would be able to photograph her beautifully (with out seeing her)  I am very blunt when I talk to couples regarding venues and basically everything, regarding their wedding in Cabo.  Normally I would say this about Me Cabo.. Oh no!  They have loud music and no privacy the craziest beach in Cabo. I was very nervous for taking this wedding I  let the couple know that I would be in contact with the resorts wedding planner. Alec and I can only do so much to make your event look beautiful in photos, with out the help of the  resort wedding planners. Let me stop..  And tell you about “Adriana Carreto” the special event manager of Me Cabo!! Whom I never had the chance to thank until this minute!!  I put a photo  below of the beach and the ceremony set up, so you could witness what she did for this couple!! She was unreal, and  busted her A~ butt for this wedding. I tip my hat to Adriana. I have a very high standard for wedding professionals and I do not pass compliments unless I think the job is done above normal standard. Angela and Robert I am very happy for you both . This wedding is one of my favorite Sunset da Mona Lisa weddings! The light was beautiful, the sky was perfect, and the couple…I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful to work with. We had instant chemistry with Jennifer and Paul. Jennifer told me her story of finding this blog and photos from the venue and knowing in her heart that this would be the place she would have her wedding!! Cabo San Lucas is a very popular destination wedding location for many reasons: 1.) It’s beautiful; 2.) it’s safe; and, 3.) it specializes in beautiful weddings. The list can go on forever. Melissa and I had many e-mails back and forth. We communicated on a personal level about everything. I will miss you Melissa! Usually when I ask brides ”why Cabo,” they tell me a few different things: 1.) “I don’t want a traditional wedding”; 2.) “If my wedding was local, it would be huge and I want something intimate”; or 3.) “I want those photos…” I am not kidding, I hear it all the time…I want those photos! Ok let’s chat about the photos. If Alec and T is not in your budget or booked and you want great photos, you better have a chat with your photographer and more than your photographer–your wedding planner. Why your wedding planner, you ask?  Because your wedding planner will make your timeline. If your timeline is wrong and your photos do not take place during the proper light, you will not get those photos. If your wedding planner puts the Chuppa 3 feet from the first row of chairs, good luck getting any nice photos. These great photos do not happen by chance, they happen because of communication between the bride, the photographer, and the wedding planner. Ok got that off my chest. LOL. On a different note, Melissa and Garret, your wedding was a joy to be a part of! I will miss you both. Please hug every single member of your great bridal party. We all had fun.  xooxo T

Casa Dorada Weddings in Cabo San Lucas!! Destination weddings are totally the way to go as far as I am concerned, and its not just because I am a destination wedding photographer. I actually had a destination wedding! Its such a great way to bring family and friend together. I met Sam and Tam about a year before the wedding and we stayed close the entire time, I refuse to let them continue life as husband and wife without Alec and I some how remaining friends! The great thing is they are from Los Angele’s and we are in LA all the time. Tam and Sam had their wedding guests stay at Villa Del Arco where we shot the getting ready photos and then moved the wedding to Casa Doradas 12 tribes restaurant! The wedding went off without a bump in the road! I would say that about 99% of all our weddings do go off in a stress free manner. I think its important to remember this..Your wedding is one day out of your life that you should enjoy every minute, from the getting ready to the cutting of the cake. Make sure the people around you can roll with the punches. Make sure that everyone is working as a team your wedding planner ~photographers~ florists ~DJs~should all be their for one thing and that is you. At the end of the day your wedding is the event of your life! If you are considering a destination wedding and looking into Cabo please call me!! I can direct you to the venue that may be right for you. Alec and I have worked in all the resorts and now them all well..The good the great the bad and the ugly LOL! Depending on what is important to you has everything to do with the resort you choose. Some resorts are great for vacation but not for weddings and some resorts rock at both, some resorts you need an outside wedding planner and some resorts you don’t. So many things to think about. What an amazing and wonderful couple! Susanna and Matt had all ready became friends before the wedding! The relationship started off with an engagement session almost 1 year ago in Cabo, the session ended with Matt and Susanna getting side swiped by a huge wave that came out of no where! Totally soaked.. and Alec jumping 5 feet off the ground trying to save a camera.The whole thing seeming to happen in slow motion to me( I did get a great photo) It is always fun! The build up to the wedding is the part I love the most. I like to get a feel for each couple, so when we arrive to photograph the day, we have a little history to work on.Everything we do is personal and your photos cannot be if I walk in and just start snapping. I was super excited to see Susannas dress and Matt in a suit for the first time!! haha Matt you look great in a suit and I am a huge fan of the color grey it photographs perfect with the sand in Cabo and doesn’t reflect yellow in your skin. Lets talk about Cabo Del Sol! Its a location that offers many things and one being a total private ceremony and reception location! Alec and I have great things to say about this location and have shot many many weddings at Cabo Del Sol. It is for sure a Cabo wedding venue worth checking out! When you look at this blog post you are going to want to get married in Cabo! The absolute pure love and joy that took place on this day could not be measured. Cabo Azul Resort is one of the hottest places to get married in Cabo its unique ~outstanding architectural design is the draw for most brides and grooms I speak with. One of these days. I really need to meet the architect, I think he is brilliant!  Lisa and Jeff  we are so happy you chose us to shoot your wedding. Jeff actually told me he knew we would be the right photographers when Lisa cried looking at blog photos of a total stranger, hahhahaha . I loved hearing that. I am really bad, I cried watching the new Bambi movie with my son Liam. This wedding was filled with beautiful emotion and great energy. Lisa sent me an email asking me( Did you get any photos of us with out a beer in our hands? LOL) ! Yes we do have many.. but this really could be an add for Corona. What a beautiful Cabo wedding! Sunset Da Mona Lisa is known for its breath taking views! I tell everyone coming to Cabo San Lucas try to make it a point to have dinner at The restaurant and arrive about 45 minutes before sunset, it really is a romantic way to spend an evening. Zahra and Shafiq contacted me at the beginning of the year. I remember talking to Zahra and hearing the total joy and excitement in her voice about her wedding. I love that! I am a very excitably person. Alec always says I will most likely be more excited about the wedding then the actual couple getting married. Lol. When I met Zahra and Shafiq for the first time it was smiles from ear to ear I think that Shafiq did not stop smiling the entire meeting, I walked away super excited to be apart of their day.The day started at Barcelo in San Jose Del Cabo where the couple got ready, The wedding ceremony and reception was held at Sunset da Mona Lisa.

Veronica and Paul had originally had another country in mind! and had never even been to Mexico. Thank U for the internet and a very resourceful bride. We were meant to be! Stephanie first contacted me the first of May 2010. I was looking at the emails we had back and forth, almost 50! When I arrived and met her for the first time it felt as if I knew her for ever. Wedding photography if done correctly is very personal. Its really hard to just show up cold and photograph one of the most important days of your life …If I do not know whats important to you. You could not have been a nicer couple.  When I first saw Katie all I could think of was this bride is a classic Brides Magazine cover model, she was sweet and fresh and absolutely beaming with joy! I wanted to keep her wedding photos in the same feeling. Every wedding we shoot takes on a life of its own and this wedding was not an exception! The event took place in the Imperial Suite at the Grand Fiesta Americana in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Its was a beautiful event and Alec and I felt so welcomed from everyone. I always say you can tell everything about a couple by the wedding party, and this was a wonderful group!!

This destination wedding took place in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The wedding location was Casa Dorada. I suggest Casa Dorada as a wedding venue often, As long as the ceremony is on the deck that over looks the beach, the deck has a perfect view of the arch. I do not suggest a beach ceremony!! The beach is extremely busy and its impossible to get any photos with out sun bathers. and on lookers. The deck feels way more private. The 12 Tribes restaurant is totally private and the food has always been good. Michael & Alyssa could not have been more easy going and a joy to work with! Alec and my photography style is tailored to each couples true personality! This sexy couple needed sexy photos.. well actually it was impossible to photograph them any other way!! Although Alyssa’s cute goofy side popped out ever now and again! We adored them both xoox T

Beautiful Cabo Del Sol Wedding: Destination Photographer Alec & T.

Destination wedding location Cabo Del Sol, Is among one of my favorite wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas. A golf course that jets out over the ocean! A completely private ceremony site location, an almost totally private beach, It is breathtaking. Made for a dream wedding! You always hear that some of the most beautiful women come from Mississippi…I am now a true believer! This entire group was good looking all around. Alec and I have shot many weddings at Cabo Del Sol. This was our first wedding that the reception took place at this location and not in the clubhouse, I love it!! The road that lead to the reception from the clubhouse was lined in candles over 400 and light by beautiful torches.I laughed when I heard that 1 employees entire job for 5 hours was to do nothing but make sure the candles stayed lite!! Truly a first class event!  Thank You to The wedding planners Sarai & Martha from Signature Weddings once again your extreme attention to detail shines!! and Luz Maria from Cabo Del Sol always a smile an enchanting energy that everyone loves. Cabo weddings could possibly be the best weddings on the planet! LOL. I love Los Cabos Mexico. I met Lindsay and her parents about a year prior to her wedding at Playa Grande Resort and it was love in 5 minutes . I cannot tell you how Lindsay’s energy was magnetic, her personality was ( is) enchanting. I think you can see it in these photos below. Tall and elegant but at the same time a girl next door. The camera also loved Tom ( how could it not!!) Alec and I attempt to bring out every bride and grooms true nature.  Friends  and family should look at wedding photos and say WOW Alec and T really captured the true essence of you and your day. This day seemed to fly by for us. The joy was everywhere. We went home once again saying we are the luckiest people in the world! This destination wedding took place at Cabo Azul resort in San Jose Del Cabo Mexico. Cabo Azul is famous for its wedding chapel and modern or what I call HIP~ design. This resort seems to attract the same type of bride and grooms modern cool and hip. I  looked up the word HIP and it means in slag.  Fashionable, Current and in the Know!! Exactly the definition for this wedding couple.  Brandon & Tracy you picked the perfect wedding location. Tracy and I had several emails back and forth and did get the chance to meet several months before the wedding! I’m so glad you both decided to hire us. Talk about detail and beautiful detail!! Everything was perfect and the work that this bride did on her own showed in every-way, the personal touches touched my heart. Alec and I shoot many weddings, I get excited for every wedding. For me the very best weddings are the ones that have attention to detail , personal detail (the little things) and personal care. Tracy made this wedding her own and it was spectacular. As a wedding photographer I feel so responsible to make sure that I capture each and every moment and every detail with much care. Another great Cabo wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos  I am excited about this wedding venue option, for couples planning a destination wedding in Mexico. I think this venue has a really good feel for weddings. Alec and I have done several weddings with the resorts wedding planner (Gaby) she is very seasoned and experienced  as a wedding coordinator. As a photographer so many little time-line details make the world of difference for your photos.  When we work with Gaby we are always on the same page!! I had the chance to meet Jillian several months before the wedding and we just clicked in minutes. On the wedding day after 2 seconds meeting Paul I knew the photos would be great. When I was picking the blog photos I found myself smiling and happy for this couple. Jillian and Paul your wedding was beautiful and full of  joy, your family’s are loving and supportive. Spectacular Las Ventanas destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. What a beautiful event !! A few months back on Monday morning I got a phone call from “Alan Shepherd” Wedding and Event planner from Los Angele’s saying.. Hi,  My client wants to hire you..And that was the beginning of many great emails!!  Alan,  Alec and I will adore you forever,  you crack me up and are a kick ass event planner! The day started like this.  We arrived at Las Ventanas never having met Lisa or Michael. I took one look at Michael..something about him ( you want him on your side in a court room)… I just knew Lisa was going to be a knock out. After meeting Lisa I discovered she was not only beautiful but super nice and incredible to Alec and I.  I think it took about 5 minutes to feel like friends and knew exactly how to capture this wedding.The day went by so fast it seemed as if we just arrived and the party was already starting. Las Ventanas is Alec’s favorite place to shoot weddings. The resort is white and has a bounce light that is a photographers dream also the area for ceremony’s is very clean and easy to get around. Again Marco the Marvelous Minister made everyone laugh and cry and he did this in less then 15 minutes. Lisa’s perfect hair and Make up thanks to Suzanne Morel who gets it right every time. We had a wonderful day thanks to everyone! Mostly of course this wonderful couple!!  T

WEDDING at the Westin Resort Cabo and Sunset Da Mona Lisa Cabo San Lucas Mexico

Kathy and Ben had and private wedding for two. And it was wonderful!  The wedding  ceremony was at the Westin Resort in Cabo San Lucas.  The wedding dinner and Sunset Photos at one of my favorite wedding Venues,  Sunset da Mona Lisa also in Cabo. Alec and I instantly had wonderful chemistry with this couple. I love these intimate weddings! When a couple hires Alec and I , It means that Photography is a wedding priority, Much care and consideration goes into making sure the time line fits with the light etc. I worked with Roxanne from Baja weddings to make sure this wedding was as perfect as possible, And it was pretty close to perfect. Thank U Rox!!  The photos are amazing! The day went completely smooth. At the end of the shoot we could have stayed and talk to Kathy and Ben all night. Destination Wedding at Cabo Del Sol Beautiful Chinese and Korean traditions

Sally and Jonders destination wedding took place in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. It was a wedding filled with beautiful American Chinese and Korean tradition. I was so excited to finally meet Sally in person! When I walked in it was as if I had known her all my life . Something about her lights up the room every room! Jonder agrees!! The day started with a Chinese’s tea ceremony and then an American wedding ceremony to follow with a Korean tradition ( that included champagne and looked like a lot of fun) The day was filled with bright color and total joy! The photos are breathtaking.

Damon and Leah know how to throw a party!! I Met Damon and Leah while waiting to catch a plane from Cabo to Los Angele’s . I have a chronic problem of talking to strangers and  soon to find out so does Damon!  After a few minutes,  he out of the blue said to me,  is your name T?  Your my wedding photographer!  And the rest is history. The world seems to be getting smaller.  I was really happy to be the wedding photographer for this couple, I think that Alec and I captured the essence of these two perfectly! We are working on the video and I cant get enough of it, I would love to hand deliver it and watch it with them over a glass of wine> you just never know. Destination wedding at Cabo Surf Hotel in San Jose Del Cabo

Cabo Surf Hotel is a located on the best surfing beach in Cabo and is a secret gem! The feeling is very private and cozy. Alec and I loved it, and highly recommend it!! Vivian and Jason had the entire resort which is fairly easy to do the hotel has only 20 something rooms. I love weddings that have a private feeling! Vivian and Jason’s wedding was coordinated by Sarai Flores ( Signature weddings located in Cabo) I loved everything about it. I love color!! And this wedding had the most beautiful color I have seen in a wedding the personal touches of the handmade hearts and ribbon, the handmade silk pillows strategically placed and the bright colored lace that was wrapped on each napkin, gave  a complete and total personal touch feeling. Martha Stewart should feature this one..Hmmmm that’s an idea. Vivian and Jason both had this amazing calmness about them that rubbed off on everyone. They picked a perfect venue and the wedding was a huge success. I rest my case on what I always say it is (THE SUM OF ALL) Vivian and Jason your wedding was amazing ! And your video is coming, we having fun with that as well!! Much love to you both T

Sunset Da Mona Lisa Cabo Wedding Venue by ALEC & T. PHOTOGRAPHY

Sunset da Mona Lisa is for sure one of my all time favorite wedding venues in Cabo., actually anywhere.  This was a very special wedding, It was in the planning stages for along time, WOW it was worth the wait. The wedding went off without a single bump in the road. The details I loved!!  Victoria and Fredrick both had a very upscale and formal way about them. The details in black and white and then the bright red and burnt orange accents, fit this couple perfect. Victoria and Frederik’s wedding was planned by Rachel Hanson at Infinity Weddings .  She did an great job with dressing up the restaurant, I had noticed that the pathway of the restaurant looked different and I could not point out what it was..  The day of the wedding Rachel arrived early and planted extra plants and flowers so that when Victoria walked down the path it would be perfect for her. I am all about detail ( the sum of all). We really had fun shooting the photos and the wedding video. Cheers! Alec & T

Sunset da Mona Lisa in Cabo San Lucas is one of my favorite wedding Locations. Breath taking views and amazing sunsets!  Alec and I love this venue,  we have never shot a wedding that we did not fall over backwards when we started to edit. Emina and Sulejmans wedding was coordinated by April at  Baja Weddings highly recommended, first class Cabo wedding coordinators!!  We just finished editing the wedding video and it is just as amazing as the photos,  I will put the video up in the next few days. This was a small intimate wedding that was done with such class and elegant touches. Enima knew exactly what she wanted. The wedding colors, her choice of dress,  everything was perfect. The Sunset in Cabo was as usual heart stopping. We laughed and enjoyed everyone the entire day. I’m so happy to share these wedding photos with this beautiful couple, Thinking of you both!!! xoxoT

Shana and Ben’s  destination wedding took place at Fiesta Americana resort located in Cabo Mexico.  This post is very easy for me to write.   A million great things are going through my head about this bride and groom.  I will quote the wedding planner,  April from Baja weddings ” The greatest family I have ever worked with..I LOVE THEM ALL”

I think that sums it up, but I will add a few things. Ben the groom never stopped smiling the entire day,  every time he looked at Shana his eyes would sparkle..I’m not kidding.. he was a super special guy with a heart of gold.  Shana was good from her head to her toes. Totally relaxed and ready to just enjoy her wedding ( I love that) And when I met her Mom and Dad it made perfect reasoning the apple never falls far from the tree.  This was a fairly small wedding so I had the chance to meet everyone and this group was a total and complete joy.  When I started to glance at the photos to grab some for the blog post,  I was happy for them all over again. What most people don’t know is that Alec and I get to relive every wedding as we edit the photos. The time we spend making your wedding memory’s come to life makes us  better photographers.  So thank you Shana and Ben,  we are better wedding photographers !  Big bear hugs T

Destination wedding photography at Cabo Del Sol, Los Cabos Mexico

Cabo Del Sol is a wonderful wedding venue. Alec and I have shot several wedding at this location and really love it.  I met Kristin and Sean A while back. Kristin and I bonded with in 10 seconds and then spent the next several months going back and forth with emails. When it was time to shoot their wedding,  I felt as if we had been friends for a really long time.  My impression was that Sean was thinking this whole photo thing was going to be a pain in the butt…wrong… I know he had fun and I have photos that prove it. hehhe.  I really loved this couple and will miss the emails Kristin.
