Weddings in Los Cabos Mexico. Destination weddings have such an amazing feeling to them. They really are totally different then a local wedding. The very first wedding I shot a wedding in Mexico was in Cabo San Lucas, the experience was so amazingly beautiful I did not want to leave. I remember that horrible day at the airport, realizing I had to actually go back to “The Real World” LOl.. Cabo today is my real world and I cannot express how blessed I feel for  my life. When planning a destination wedding the first thing  you need to do is choose a location. Everyone asks, me about safety. The truth is I feel safer in Los Cabos then I do in Los Angele’s. The next thing is the water and the food . Well I do not drink the water out of the faucet in LA and for sure you would not drink the sink water in Cabo either. lol.. Its really just common sense. The weddings take your breath away in this beautiful town. I have my favorite venues in all different price points. Whether you are spending $5000 or $100,0000 Cabo San Lucas has a venue for you. I cannot remember in 6 years  and hundreds of weddings ever saying. “Wow, Alec that was a bad wedding” I can remember saying “Wow Alec this couple did not get value for the money they spent” Choose your resort wisely and the people you put around you. Everyone today has access to research. Most couples today get personally involved and that’s great! We are also very busy. Mexico Destination weddings. A great excuse for a perfect wedding. I was thinking about the advantages to a destination wedding and I could not stop counting them. Beautiful surroundings~your closest family and friends~Mini vacation~bounding of family’s~Less stress~Smaller group saves your budget~suntans and margaritas~no shoes~no office~ I can go on and on. I am sitting in my Office in Cabo San Lucas this very minute. I have a view of a golf coarse that ends at the ocean, The temperature is about 80-85 with a summer breeze… OK you got the picture its just about perfect. No one ever wants to leave Cabo. Its a perfect spot for a wedding getaway. My business is destination.  Alec and I have done 100s of them, they are truly different then a local wedding in so many ways. If done correctly.. with a good wedding planner.. you should have zero stress and the wedding of your dreams. This wedding took place at Hacienda Cocina and Catina a great wedding location in Cabo San Lucas. Thank you Kelsey & Josh for inviting us to shoot your wedding. Cabo Azul Resort is located in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. This Cabo destination wedding was such a joy to shoot. Krystle & Scott were two incredible people that deserved this breathtaking wedding. Weddings have a snowball effect: they start out kind of slow. You think you have all the time in the world and then the momentum of the day kicks in. The next thing you realize you are cutting the cake. Piece of advice, take your time at the beginning. Get ready slowly, take your time, and do not rush the day! Enjoy every minute. Why does cocktail hour have to be one hour? Why do you have to cram your entire event into four hours? You have planned this wedding for months. Stop, breath, and rethink your timeline! Just do not rush the start. Krystle and Scott, we loved you guys, you did it right and your wedding was perfect!!

A Note From The Bride & Groom

A message below to Cabo Azul-     I am writing because recently I became aware of a new policy at Cabo Azul regarding fees for using outside vendors at the resort. While this issue does not concern me directly I hope to convey how important certain vendors are to couples and their wedding dreams. My husband and I were married at Cabo Azul in January, while our wedding was an absolute dream. I will say it was not without issues along the way.   A destination wedding is a challenge in of itself to plan and while hotel staff does offer recommendations, word of mouth and more specifically wedding sites online (i.e.- destinationwedding.com) are a huge source of information and testimonials for vendors. When I started planning my wedding one of the main reasons I chose Cabo and more specifically Cabo Azul was these incredible photos I found online while researching from Alec and T . They had great reviews about them all over the internet.  Not only were they an absolute dream to work with, their work is over the top amazing! I have had more compliments on my wedding pictures than you could ever imagine. I have also had several conversations with brides over the last couple of weeks about looking into Cabo Azul for weddings now just after seeing our photos. To allow your wedding department to blocked certain vendors from the resort, especially ones as talented as Alec & T, is definitely a disservice to your brides and your resort.   Krystle & Scott Meltzer

Killer Cabo wedding venue: Sunset da Mona Lisa. Alec and I have shot over 30 weddings at Sunset da Mona Lisa and still, to this day, look at the new weddings and just cannot get over the photos that are produced at this wedding location. This wedding is one of my favorite Sunset da Mona Lisa weddings! The light was beautiful, the sky was perfect, and the couple…I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful to work with. We had instant chemistry with Jennifer and Paul. Jennifer told me her story of finding this blog and photos from the venue and knowing in her heart that this would be the place she would have her wedding!! Sunset da Mona Lisa has one of the most dramatic sunsets I have ever seen. It’s a great location for a small wedding or a complete restaurant buyout for larger weddings and events. There are several resorts within five minutes of the venue! The key to great wedding photos in this location is timeline, timeline, timeline. Off by five minutes, and you will miss the dramatic photos. I am happy to blog with this wedding as my first wedding blog of 2012!! When you look at this blog post you are going to want to get married in Cabo! The absolute pure love and joy that took place on this day could not be measured. Cabo Azul Resort is one of the hottest places to get married in Cabo its unique ~outstanding architectural design is the draw for most brides and grooms I speak with. One of these days. I really need to meet the architect, I think he is brilliant!  Lisa and Jeff  we are so happy you chose us to shoot your wedding. Jeff actually told me he knew we would be the right photographers when Lisa cried looking at blog photos of a total stranger, hahhahaha . I loved hearing that. I am really bad, I cried watching the new Bambi movie with my son Liam. This wedding was filled with beautiful emotion and great energy. Lisa sent me an email asking me( Did you get any photos of us with out a beer in our hands? LOL) ! Yes we do have many.. but this really could be an add for Corona. I have such great memories of this day and cannot wait to talk to Lisa and Jeff when they return from their honeymoon. Maybe we will catch up in Los Angele’s next month?? Another great Cabo wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos  I am excited about this wedding venue option, for couples planning a destination wedding in Mexico. I think this venue has a really good feel for weddings. Alec and I have done several weddings with the resorts wedding planner (Gaby) she is very seasoned and experienced  as a wedding coordinator. As a photographer so many little time-line details make the world of difference for your photos.  When we work with Gaby we are always on the same page!! I had the chance to meet Jillian several months before the wedding and we just clicked in minutes. On the wedding day after 2 seconds meeting Paul I knew the photos would be great. When I was picking the blog photos I found myself smiling and happy for this couple. Jillian and Paul your wedding was beautiful and full of  joy, your family’s are loving and supportive.
