Cabo Wedding Venue, Sunset Da Mona Lisa. How do you choose a wedding location? The million dollar question. Its usually the most difficult when you cannot jump on a plane and come for a site visit. So what should you do? You should get advice some someone who understands the differences in the local venues.  And is willing to tell you the truth.  If I have you on the phone, I will ask you a million questions , then guide you to the resort that best fits with your budget and your vision. For instance if you want a “Beach Ceremony” some resorts are better then others.  If you want a ceremony NOT on the beach,  but with a great view, then others will work.  Some resorts are great for vacations or your room blocks, but the actual event… hmmm.. …Many Cabo San Lucas  Wedding venues, just rock and roll at everything! Cabo San Lucas Beautiful Gay Wedding~ By Alec and T Photography and Be That Bride Events

I have such a warm place in my heart for this amazing couple! I could not think of a better way to have spent my New Years Eve. This Los Cabos  wedding day was filled with more love then I can possibly describe. My first phone call was with Jonathan in December 2012. We went back and forth for a bit, he was thinking that they would host the wedding closer the east coast .. No Way!  They had already stolen my heart and I really needed to be apart of this wedding. Yes it all worked out in the end. The wedding ceremony took place at Cabo Del Sol and the wedding reception at Sunset Da Mona Lisa. The wedding planning was done by, our wedding planning company Be That Bride Events . Everything about this day was above and beyond beautiful. When we started the wedding planning,  the first thing we needed to do was lock in that perfect venue. We did come across a few Cabo San Lucas venues that would not allow same sex weddings… Not many, but we did run into it. One of the venues said ” We are a family friendly resort” We laughed , because Jonathan and Tad actually love kids and love their family’s. Hmm… We just moved on. The Los Cabos venues, that Tad and Jonathan chose,  could not have been more honored. This wedding will always remain special in the eyes of Alec and I~ Jonathan and Tad,  We love you both very very much~ T

What a beautiful Cabo San Lucas wedding~ Cabo Del Sol is one of my favorite wedding venues in Cabo. The location offers many different ceremony spots. You can get married on the beach in the sand or you can choose the grass above the beach. Cabo Del Sol is not a resort. It is the club house to the number one golf course in Mexico. The venue is private and the food is great. Its located about 10 minutes from Down town Cabo San Lucas. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this venue..Well yes I can~ I can tell you in full detail exactly why I love this resort and exactly how to have a great wedding at this location. 323 455-3342 The venue has several different ceremony options and several different cocktail hour location options as well as dinner reception spots. Each location has its own uniqueness. One of the biggest things I hear is this…Ceremony on the beach..or.. Aja and Melvin’s July wedding was one of those breath taking Cabo days,  not to bright or hot (a little warm) it was a perfect day for a wedding. Cabo San Lucas rocks another great destination wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos! From the very first meeting I was in love with this family. I knew Stephanie and Scott would have a completely fun and relaxed wedding. The Hilton is great for large groups. Destination weddings over 80 are consider a large group. I think the best thing about the Hilton is the beach out front, its  beautiful and you can jump in the water!! Even the sand seems to be whiter then most beaches in Cabo. The resort has several different ceremony locations. Alec and I have always had really good wedding experiences with the Hilton. This is a really important thing to consider. The wedding day is  only one day out of many days at the resort. You want to make sure that the resort you choose to have host your event makes your wedding experience a good one. Planning A Cabo wedding?  You have found the place to get started. Alec and I have shot well over 500 weddings in Los Cabos and understand all the different venues and resorts in town. I do not hold back on my very opinionated opinion. lol. This summer we have extremely busy with wonderful Los Cabos weddings. I had some one say to me last week. ” You and Alec always get beautiful brides” My answer was “We always seem to get beautiful people, you are right”  I feel extremely blessed to have this great business and to be able to work with couples like Tiffany and Todd. Maybe beautiful is not a strong enough word? Its crazy breathtaking, insanely gorgeous  and the food is off the chart! If you are undecided on a destination for your wedding?? I highly suggest you give me a call. Cabo San Lucas is truly the spot. The weather in Cabo is almost perfect year round.. Maybe a little warm in August and September. When I am on vacation I like it warm.  The bug issue is nothing like other tropical destinations. I have been to other locations that have mosquitoes are like B-52 bombers.. I do not like animals that bite or sting.. Rain is almost zero. Mexicans are loving and caring, smiles and hugs comes natural to the culture.  In my mind nothing compares to a Cabo destination wedding.What a great chance for family and friends to bond over a few days. A sneak peak at a few  wedding photos!! Erin and Jeff decided to runaway to  Los Cabos Mexico and tie the knot! Very smart move. When we first talked on the phone I suggested that they hire Be That Bride Events to take care of all the details. The day was completely calm and relaxed.  We started at Zoerty Casa Del Mar for a few photos before going to Sunset da Mona Lisa for the ceremony and a few more photos. Mexico Destination weddings. A great excuse for a perfect wedding. I was thinking about the advantages to a destination wedding and I could not stop counting them. Beautiful surroundings~your closest family and friends~Mini vacation~bounding of family’s~Less stress~Smaller group saves your budget~suntans and margaritas~no shoes~no office~ I can go on and on. I am sitting in my Office in Cabo San Lucas this very minute. I have a view of a golf coarse that ends at the ocean, The temperature is about 80-85 with a summer breeze… OK you got the picture its just about perfect. No one ever wants to leave Cabo. Its a perfect spot for a wedding getaway. My business is destination.  Alec and I have done 100s of them, they are truly different then a local wedding in so many ways. What a beautiful day it was in Cabo San Lucas Mexico! Why would you have a destination wedding in Los Cabos? I can think of many reasons. Here is one “Memories” take a look at these wedding photos.  How can you put a price on your memories.? Your wedding photos are a direct link to all your memories. Pick your wedding photographer wisely. SSDML is not an easy venue to photograph.The back light is killer. If your Photographer can figure it out and get it right? The results are amazing,  like no other place. This venue has views that will take your breath away. I took one look at Kathryne and all I could think of was this tall beautiful bride has made my day~ and to top it off everything about her was kind, warm, loving and fun!! Wedding at Playa Grande Resort Los Cabos Mexico: Alec & T. Photography

This is only our second wedding at Playa Grande Resort in Cabo San Lucas.  The resort has great spaces for photography and the beach out front is vast and photographs fabulously. The staff was gracious and on their toes! This is a big one for me. I have said this many times when you are on vacation happy people around you just make it better.  The experience we have had at this resort so far has always been good. Besides the fact that the day started so bright my polarizing filter almost fried off my lens.. lol.. No worries Ethan and Talia the photos are still wonderful and this blog is evidence! Talias hair and make was done by Suzanne Morel. Please have your hair and make done professionally it really makes a difference. Linens By : Linen Things and More. Elsa from The linen company was prepping tables from 9am-4pm, every table was perfect. Looking for a wedding venue in Cabo San Lucas? The Grande Solmar is a new resort that sits at Lands end in Los Cabos Mexico. This is the first time we have shot a wedding or event at the resort. I was really happy with many things. The resort has designed and designated an area just for weddings and events that is off to one side. Bravo!! Grande Solmar. Privacy is always a huge thing for me when I am suggesting wedding locations in Cabo. The biggest celebration of your life should not have resort guests in bathing suits part of your wedding guests list.. LOL . No really,  you have to think of many things before you book your venue. The wedding department was gracious and very helpful~  A special thank you to the wedding planners at Grande Solmar. Adriana you helped make it easy to capture this day! A few days before the wedding I met with the couple and the wedding staff to go over details and take a good look at the resort. I was considering cutting out coffee and diet coke.. for a flash of a second. But you would have come down from heaven and light my hair on fire to inspire me that much. Jackie and Shawn’s photos truly captured the essence of who they are and their day. I cannot even describe how it feels to Alec  and I when couples trust us with the responsibility of their wedding memories. I think I hugged them both for 10 minutes before we left!! Weddings have a snowball effect: they start out kind of slow. You think you have all the time in the world and then the momentum of the day kicks in. The next thing you realize you are cutting the cake. Piece of advice, take your time at the beginning. Get ready slowly, take your time, and do not rush the day! Enjoy every minute. Why does cocktail hour have to be one hour? Why do you have to cram your entire event into four hours? You have planned this wedding for months. Stop, breath, and rethink your timeline! A Note From The Bride & Groom

A message below to Cabo Azul-     I am writing because recently I became aware of a new policy at Cabo Azul regarding fees for using outside vendors at the resort. While this issue does not concern me directly I hope to convey how important certain vendors are to couples and their wedding dreams. My husband and I were married at Cabo Azul in January, while our wedding was an absolute dream. I will say it was not without issues along the way.   A destination wedding is a challenge in of itself to plan and while hotel staff does offer recommendations, word of mouth and more specifically wedding sites online (i.e.- destinationwedding.com) are a huge source of information and testimonials for vendors. When I started planning my wedding one of the main reasons I chose Cabo and more specifically Cabo Azul was these incredible photos I found online while researching from Alec and T . They had great reviews about them all over the internet.  Not only were they an absolute dream to work with, their work is over the top amazing! I have had more compliments on my wedding pictures than you could ever imagine. I have also had several conversations with brides over the last couple of weeks about looking into Cabo Azul for weddings now just after seeing our photos. To allow your wedding department to blocked certain vendors from the resort, especially ones as talented as Alec & T, is definitely a disservice to your brides and your resort.   Krystle & Scott Meltzer

Los Cabos Villa Wedding Alec and T Photography

Thinking about a villa wedding in Cabo? Check out this one beautiful romantic Cabo wedding. Wedding planning by: Be That Bride Events. Thank you, Yarai!! This was a wonderfully coordinated Cabo San Lucas event. Wedding hair and makeup by Los Cabos makeup artist Suzanne Morel. And last, but not least, Matter of Taste Catering who dressed in beautiful grey dress shirts to match the event. The day was beautiful. This bride Abby was–is–extremely special to me. When we first started to chat, she had originally wanted Esperanza, and then Las Ventanas, for her destination wedding ceremony. Both venues already had bookings so we decided the best wedding venue for this very intimate and romantic wedding would at a villa…and then one villa ended up to be three villas, and the weekend was set. Beautiful villas provided by our dear friends at Cabo Villas, a.k.a. Earth Sea and Sky. Cabo Villas has almost all the villas in Cabo San Lucas that rent for events. Abby I loved from the very start. If you look at the photos you will see she is so full of love, it just cannot be contained. An extremely smart and detailed bride that was on top of everything. I loved working with her and will miss our phone calls. The wedding weekend started with a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Edith’s Restaurant, then the wedding day was at Villa de los Suenos, followed by a farewell brunch the next day. I am looking forward to seeing Abby and Omar very soon! And to the mother and father of the bride, Becky and Gus, you both will be long-lasting friends. Dinner in Cabo is a must for all of us. One and Only Palmilla is located in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and is known for its high end destination weddings. Alec and I have had the opportunity to shoot several weddings at the resort this fall and winter! It was the very fist time that Del Cabo Events had unveiled  the acrylic chairs ! I love these chairs. I have seen them several times since, they are truly beautiful! Cabo San Lucas is a very popular destination wedding location for many reasons: 1.) It’s beautiful; 2.) it’s safe; and, 3.) it specializes in beautiful weddings. The list can go on forever. Melissa and I had many e-mails back and forth. We communicated on a personal level about everything. I will miss you Melissa! Usually when I ask brides ”why Cabo,” they tell me a few different things: 1.) “I don’t want a traditional wedding”; 2.) “If my wedding was local, it would be huge and I want something intimate”; or 3.) “I want those photos…” I am not kidding, I hear it all the time…I want those photos! Ok let’s chat about the photos. If Alec and T is not in your budget or booked and you want great photos, you better have a chat with your photographer and more than your photographer–your wedding planner. Why your wedding planner, you ask?  Because your wedding planner will make your timeline. If your timeline is wrong and your photos do not take place during the proper light, you will not get those photos. If your wedding planner puts the Chuppa 3 feet from the first row of chairs, good luck getting any nice photos. These great photos do not happen by chance, they happen because of communication between the bride, the photographer, and the wedding planner. Ok got that off my chest. LOL. Number one, you must hire a wedding planner; do not even think about doing it with out one, even if you own the villa. Contact me, I will direct you. Number two, find that perfect villa. Alec and I work hand-in-hand with Cabo Villas and we have a long, beautiful relationship with the company and trust them completely. I believe the benefits of a villa wedding outweigh the extra work and if you’re a wedding planner that is on top of everything, you should not feel a thing. LOL. I am all about privacy and intimacy and Villa Events provide you with both. Villa Cielito is located in Cabo San Lucas corridor, about 15 minutes from downtown Cabo. It has 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms and sleeps 16, one of the few villas you can stay up late and dance all night! Praise God for no neighbors. Sara and Caden could not have been a nicer couple, super easy going and a joy to photograph.I think the photos of this wedding captured the day perfectly! Cabo Azul wedding by Alec and T Photography! I have blogged many times about Cabo Azul in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and every-time I rave and rave about this venue for weddings! From a photography point of view its is spectacular! The wedding chapel is like no other. They really thought about weddings when they designed the resort!! Thank You Cabo Azul. I will tell you this Cabo has many great resorts and not all of them are set up for weddings. Before you choose your venue call me.. I am not kidding.. I am totally opinionated  and will tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. LOL Depending on your wedding budget and whats important to you I can direct you to the resort that will best suit you. We have worked in all the resorts in Cabo and most of them many times. This wedding was crazy fun for Alec and I. I had no idea Tabitha was going to be this picture perfect beauty, I did know this about her… She was warm and kind and very smart.  At the end of the night I had the chance to chat with Tabitha’s grand parents”What an inspiration” They seemed younger to me then most 30 year olds. I felt like I should do a juice fast or something! LOL. Alec and I walked away from this wedding saying this, What a great group! What an amazing kind and beautiful couple! What a great job we have! The Pueblo Bonito resorts in Cabo have 4 different location for weddings, Sunset Beach, Pacifica, Rose and Blanco. Alec and I have shot several weddings at these Cabo wedding venues. I met Meredith and her Mother a few months before the wedding, it was a great meeting, we had perfect chemistry. I loved some of the creative ideas Meredith had for her wedding, and knew we would have fun shooting the day. I was very sad to hear that Merediths mom last minute was ill and could not make the event. This makes the photos even more important to document the day with true emotion! When I look at the photos I think Merediths mom will be over joyed! I think that Cory and Meredith for sure will love them.Thank you both! What a beautiful Cabo Del Sol  destination wedding! Jessica and Carmello had a picture perfect wedding. Cabo Del Sol is to me the most beautiful golf course in Los Cabos Mexico. The club house is a great wedding venue! If you play golf ? its a breath taking course.  I was looking forward to this wedding for a very long time. I had spent many months getting to know Jessica step father “Al” who really wanted the very best for this couple and it showed in every way. Jessica and Carmello have a great story they met as kids and had a school assignment to get married.. I think it was the 8th grade? Well they picked each-other as husband and wife and made up this life together that pretty much came true. Its funny how life works, some people are always meant to be together. It was very obvious to me this couple is one of those”meant to be” Alec and I enjoyed this wedding from the planning to the editing!! Villa Bellissima wedding Cabo San Lucas Mexico Alec and T Photography

Beautiful romantic villa wedding in Cabo! Enid and Jim’s wedding was filled with love friends and most of all 100% joy!  I love Villa weddings!  I think this wedding was one of my most relaxed, easy going and beautiful weddings of the summer. villa weddings usually have that air to them, they are mostly free of many rules and regulations.. well mostly I say. LOL  I was super excited for this wedding, Enid is a beautiful firecracker and Jim I had never met…well that took about 20 seconds flat, to see he has a heart of gold, this couple was amazing to work with! Cabo has some great Villas for weddings, I know them all and have my favorites. Once again I will for sure give you a true opinion, if you want it??  if you are thinking about a villa wedding call me or email me.Villa Bellissima is rented by my friends at Cabo Villas it has 8 bedrooms, all of them have views!! and 11 bedrooms sleeps 16. Its a pretty amazing  location. Alec and I have shot many weddings at Villa Bellissima. What a great idea! Pre~Wedding or Post~wedding photos. When Kristie and Lawrence contacted us Alec and I were already booked on their wedding day. I remember Lawrence telling me Kristie must have you guys! That statement was enough to win me over, and figure out how the heck can they get those amazing photos that they deserve.. A few days before the actual wedding at the wedding location “Cabo Del Sol” We had a totally fun and relaxed photo shoot! I wish we could have actually done the wedding photos! The connection we had was instant!! But.. This was a super great option and it gave Kristie and Lawrence the entire wedding to relax and enjoy every minute with their wedding guests.And check out these WOW factor photos!! Totally worth 2 hours, dont you think?? They are forever.How often do you get the chance to capture your life and your love, on a location like this? You could not have been a nicer couple.  When I first saw Katie all I could think of was this bride is a classic Brides Magazine cover model, she was sweet and fresh and absolutely beaming with joy! I wanted to keep her wedding photos in the same feeling. Every wedding we shoot takes on a life of its own and this wedding was not an exception! The event took place in the Imperial Suite at the Grand Fiesta Americana in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Its was a beautiful event and Alec and I felt so welcomed from everyone. I always say you can tell everything about a couple by the wedding party, and this was a wonderful group!!

Villa Del Palmar Resort Wedding in Cabo San Lucas By ALEC and T.

Tessa and Danny’s Cabo wedding took place at Villa Del Palmar beach resort it is part of the Villa Group Resort in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The resort sits on the famous Medano Beach. A beach that is normally not good for weddings.. its just way to busy with sunbathing tourists! When I arrived,  I was really impressed how the resort not only roped off the area but put beautiful signs up asking hotel guests to respect the intimacy of the wedding. The sand was raked and the ceremony site felt totally private! Thank you Shearim!! Destination wedding location Cabo Del Sol, Is among one of my favorite wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas. A golf course that jets out over the ocean! A completely private ceremony site location, an almost totally private beach, It is breathtaking. Made for a dream wedding! You always hear that some of the most beautiful women come from Mississippi…I am now a true believer! This entire group was good looking all around. Alec and I have shot many weddings at Cabo Del Sol. This was our first wedding that the reception took place at this location and not in the clubhouse, I love it!! The road that lead to the reception from the clubhouse was lined in candles over 400 and light by beautiful torches.I laughed when I heard that 1 employees entire job for 5 hours was to do nothing but make sure the candles stayed lite!! Truly a first class event!  Thank You to The wedding planners Sarai & Martha from Signature Weddings once again your extreme attention to detail shines!! and Luz Maria from Cabo Del Sol always a smile an enchanting energy that everyone loves. Cabo wedding planners.  I have brides ask me all the time this question. Do I need a wedding planner? What wedding coordinator do you and Alec suggest? What if the resort has a wedding planner do I still need to use an independent company. My answer is always this.Tell me about your wedding?  And then what resort? Many of the resorts have amazing planners and other resort wedding planners are just to busy. The planners at the resorts are not there to make your fishing reservations or pack your gift bags! So depending on how resourceful you are you may need an outside wedding coordinator. Alec and I work with almost everyone in town and of coarse have out favorites! depending on your wedding your personality and your needs is how we suggest a wedding coordinator in Cabo. Some planners in Cabo are extremely seasoned and have designed 100s of weddings.  Others are very creative and specialize in higher end. And then others that are great at just the basic guide you help out on the day of. Depending on your wedding needs and your budget.

Destination wedding at Cabo Surf Hotel in San Jose Del Cabo

Cabo Surf Hotel is a located on the best surfing beach in Cabo and is a secret gem! The feeling is very private and cozy. Alec and I loved it, and highly recommend it!! Vivian and Jason had the entire resort which is fairly easy to do the hotel has only 20 something rooms. I love weddings that have a private feeling! Vivian and Jason’s wedding was coordinated by Sarai Flores ( Signature weddings located in Cabo) I loved everything about it. I love color!! And this wedding had the most beautiful color I have seen in a wedding the personal touches of the handmade hearts and ribbon, the handmade silk pillows strategically placed and the bright colored lace that was wrapped on each napkin, gave  a complete and total personal touch feeling. Martha Stewart should feature this one..Hmmmm that’s an idea. Vivian and Jason both had this amazing calmness about them that rubbed off on everyone. They picked a perfect venue and the wedding was a huge success. I rest my case on what I always say it is (THE SUM OF ALL) Vivian and Jason your wedding was amazing ! I have to start this blog with this..YEAH!!! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!  Danielle and I spent many months of emails and several phones calls talking about her  Cabo Esperanza wedding. We talked about everything,  her wedding flowers her hair and makeup. Should the ceremony be on the beach or the pool terraces? What should the guys wear? So many options and so many decisions that all ended up making the day perfect. I was extremely excited for this couple, They put so much care into the day,  I was really expecting that everything would be perfect for them.And it was!!! Another perfect Esperanza wedding in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Luke and Carly’s weddings was filled with complete and total joy. I got an email from Luke and he said this…Thank you for shooting Carly and my wedding the entire night was perfect and one that I will never forget. When I receive emails like this my heart jumps. Everyone should be able to feel this way. Carly and Luke surrounded themselves with family and friends, they kept it simple and focused on the wedding details that were important to them. Carly had a classic style that was beautiful and elegant and I think we captured her essence perfectly!!  I have to laugh, everyone warned them about rain in September!! hahaha the day was perfect. We really enjoyed our time at this Esperanza wedding and send out many warm wishes to Luke and Carly!!
