I was thinking today when I posted this blog, I feel so grateful for the clients that we attract. 2012 was a year of amazing weddings and wonderful clients.  Alec and  I, have a successful business because 2 people fell in love, Thank you! Love is grand, it makes the world go around!  Weddings in Cabo are special. Mexico in general is a special country with loving giving people. If you are wondering if Cabo is safe the answer is YES. Cabo Del Sol the wedding venue is one of my favorites, Last year  Alec and T and Be That Bride Events did several weddings at the venue, all of them felt different. The location has 3  ceremony options. The Beach~ Ocean Meadows as shown  and The Old Pro Shop . The food is wonderful. If you are a foodie this could be the place for you.  But the greatest thing about this location is the staff . They are above and beyond good at what they do. Its always a pleasure to bring weddings to this venue!  Its a good idea to contact me  before you chose your venue. Cabo has several great venues! Every venue has its own wow factor . And lets “get real”  almost every venue has its cons. Maybe those cons are just … Sorry out of budget for you. No Worries Los Cabos has a resort for every budget.

Valerie OMG what a wonderful bride and friend! I started to talk to Valerie in the middle of March 2012. The very first phone call we discussed what venue would be right for her and Ryan. We talked about Esperanza, Zoetry and Cabo Del Sol . I always spend about 15 minutes on each venue and really make it easy for you to decide what will work with your budget and priority’s. Cabo Del Sol was perfect for this couple. Over the next several months everything came together with out a hitch! What a wonderful wedding to be apart of.

El Dorado Beach Club Wedding in Cabo San Lucas Mexico

What A wonderful Los Cabos Wedding! This is one of my favorite weddings of the summer. El Dorado is located in Los Cabos Mexico. This private golf and beach club is a perfect destination wedding location. We just finished editing the wedding video and it is spectacular. The brides sister “maid of honor” commented in her speech, that Shelley was one of the nicest people in the world, I agree 100%. I knew when shooting this wedding that the photos would be way way off the chart. Once again my friend and wedding planner Amy Abbott did a wonderful job. The wedding chapel at One and Only Palmilla is located in Los Cabos Mexico. This quaint chapel is a really big draw for many brides. Its a great option if you are not leaning towards a beach ceremony, and if your weddings is not to large. One & Only is on my list of top wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas.The customer service at this resort is unreal. Oh  the One & Only Palmilla wedding planner Arianna Ocampo is super woman. Dara and Steven decided to tie the knot in the Month of May. The Month of May is a very good for weddings in Los Cabos. Its a very busy month that gets booked up very fast, try to book early if possible. The weather is perfect and its not high season for tourism so its a win win for weddings. Dara had visited One & Only long before she even met Steven, she had a dream of a wedding at the resort many years before! I always say YES dreams do come true!! Congratulations Dara and Steven ~ T

Intimate wedding in Cabo San Lucas,wedding venue Zoetry and Sunset Da Mona Lisa

A sneak peak at a few  wedding photos!! Erin and Jeff decided to runaway to  Los Cabos Mexico and tie the knot! Very smart move. When we first talked on the phone I suggested that they hire Be That Bride Events to take care of all the details. The day was completely calm and relaxed.  We started at Zoerty Casa Del Mar for a few photos before going to Sunset da Mona Lisa for the ceremony and a few more photos. It could not have been more perfect as the sun was setting the restaurant brought out a great bottle of champagne to toast the newly weds. More photos coming soon xx T

This beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Azul Resort wedding took place the end of April. The weather was perfect and the couple could not have been nicer. I was talking to Alec the other day about our clients and how we always seem to attract the nicest couples. I usually find that most people decide on a destination wedding to avoid the headache and stress of a local wedding. destination weddings are usually smaller and more relaxed. If I would have gotten married in my hometown It would have been a 300 person guests list at least. Instead Alec and I had a destination wedding of 80. I had my dream wedding. Almost 6 years ago Alec and I shot our first wedding in Cabo from that day I did not want to leave. Cabo San Lucas is a magical place! Claudia and Warrens weddings was absolutely magical. I cannot even tell you how many off the chart photos they have. I had a really hard time choosing the blog photos. Claudia was radiant the whole day and could not take a bad photo and Warren so laid back this couple was a breeze to capture!! Thank you guys so much it was a great pleasure to capture your day!!

Mexico Destination weddings. A great excuse for a perfect wedding. I was thinking about the advantages to a destination wedding and I could not stop counting them. Beautiful surroundings~your closest family and friends~Mini vacation~bounding of family’s~Less stress~Smaller group saves your budget~suntans and margaritas~no shoes~no office~ I can go on and on. I am sitting in my Office in Cabo San Lucas this very minute. I have a view of a golf coarse that ends at the ocean, The temperature is about 80-85 with a summer breeze… OK you got the picture its just about perfect. No one ever wants to leave Cabo. Its a perfect spot for a wedding getaway. My business is destination.  Alec and I have done 100s of them, they are truly different then a local wedding in so many ways. If done correctly.. with a good wedding planner.. you should have zero stress and the wedding of your dreams. This wedding took place at Hacienda Cocina and Catina a great wedding location in Cabo San Lucas. Thank you Kelsey & Josh for inviting us to shoot your wedding. Cabo Azul Resort is located in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. This Cabo destination wedding was such a joy to shoot. Krystle & Scott were two incredible people that deserved this breathtaking wedding. Weddings have a snowball effect: they start out kind of slow. You think you have all the time in the world and then the momentum of the day kicks in. The next thing you realize you are cutting the cake. Piece of advice, take your time at the beginning. Get ready slowly, take your time, and do not rush the day! Enjoy every minute. Why does cocktail hour have to be one hour? Why do you have to cram your entire event into four hours? You have planned this wedding for months. Stop, breath, and rethink your timeline! Just do not rush the start. Krystle and Scott, we loved you guys, you did it right and your wedding was perfect!!

A Note From The Bride & Groom

A message below to Cabo Azul-     I am writing because recently I became aware of a new policy at Cabo Azul regarding fees for using outside vendors at the resort. While this issue does not concern me directly I hope to convey how important certain vendors are to couples and their wedding dreams. My husband and I were married at Cabo Azul in January, while our wedding was an absolute dream. I will say it was not without issues along the way.   A destination wedding is a challenge in of itself to plan and while hotel staff does offer recommendations, word of mouth and more specifically wedding sites online (i.e.- destinationwedding.com) are a huge source of information and testimonials for vendors. When I started planning my wedding one of the main reasons I chose Cabo and more specifically Cabo Azul was these incredible photos I found online while researching from Alec and T . They had great reviews about them all over the internet.  Not only were they an absolute dream to work with, their work is over the top amazing! I have had more compliments on my wedding pictures than you could ever imagine. I have also had several conversations with brides over the last couple of weeks about looking into Cabo Azul for weddings now just after seeing our photos. To allow your wedding department to blocked certain vendors from the resort, especially ones as talented as Alec & T, is definitely a disservice to your brides and your resort.   Krystle & Scott Meltzer

Last year, I had three different brides tell me they had not even considered Mexico as their destination wedding. Then they ran across my blog and found the wedding photos of Sunset da Mona Lisa. And that was it…Mexico here we come!! The photos from this Cabo wedding venue are breathtaking. The venue is a little tricky to capture if you are not careful as a photographer. It has extreme back light, nowhere to hide from the sun on a bright day, and can be very windy at certain times of the year. On the other hand, it has unreal views, the breeze feels cool on hot days and the sunset is like no other place in Cabo San Lucas, or maybe the world!! Alec and I have figured out how to make it work like a charm every time. Sometimes think I could photograph this beautiful and enchanting†Los Cabos wedding location with my eyes closed and hands tied behind my back. Hahaha that was a joke. Wedding Photography is never easy. It’s an extreme challenge every wedding to make sure that we do not miss anything and that the true emotion of the day is captured and preserved forever. The challenge is the fun part. Andrea and Oscar’s wedding was no exception to the rule. It was such a joy to be a part of this great couple’s wedding. Cabo San Lucas wedding Florist Pina Hernandez

Los Cabos Floral designer Pina Hernandez has a style all her own. Alec and I have done several Cabo weddings with Pina and every wedding I walk in and say” this is Pina” Her floral designs are really unique,. She has a very fresh feeling to her work. It feels young and free. When we finally met in person to talk about her work,  she had just gotten back from a camping and surfing trip. It was perfect exactly as I imagined her to be. She does not have a website and likes to work very one on one with each bride. So far I have seen nothing but beautiful things come out of this Cabo San Lucas floral designer. Destination Wedding Flowers and Florists in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Every color in the room should complement everything else, from the dust that has settled into the corner till the sunset’s rays that come through the window and play with the bride’s hair, everything is supposed to be perfect and ready to be captured by Alec and T Photography.

When choosing the decorations it is necessary that even the tiny creases on the groom’s pant’s waist should match the decoration in the room. The colors are supposed to fill the room with a cheerful atmosphere; you wouldn’t want your wedding hall to be decorated with black roses now would you!

Generally, it is the job of your destination wedding planner to find you a reliable florist.  They should come through with a local florist that you may find perfect for the job. However, you may want to keep your options open just to spend a little less on the flowers that will be dying at the end of the day, and spend more on the DJ or photographer

For a destination wedding your planner definitely has a plan that you have approved as well. The flowers you have chosen will go perfectly well with everything else in; right down to your aunt’s last year’s fading highlights and waiting to be photographed by Alec and T lens.

Be sure to choose a florist with a reputation, you can find really good ones in Los Cabos, so that you have something of guarantee; it would be atrocious if on your wedding day all your flowers come in looking dead or looking as if they might die before the wedding has even started.

When you go to visit your florist, try to look at pictures of their previous work, you can do it at www.alecandt.com, observe the petals in the pictures carefully, do they look fresh enough? Do you visualize any of these designs at your wedding? Do you feel comfortable with your florist? Is he or she understanding enough?

These are just some of the questions you need to ask yourself before choosing a florist for your Cabo destination wedding. Remember to pre-plan your wedding and all your appointments, so that you are not pressed for time if something unsuspected goes wrong.
