If you read my blog at all you will realize a few things. I cannot spell and my grammar sucks. I write my blogs from the heart and off the top of my head. I do not look back, I tell the complete truth. Honestly I love Villa weddings. Here is the thing. They are a ton of work  for a wedding planner (hire one or you are dead in the water)  You cannot rent a villa and just go to Costco and have a party. You need permits and you need to do it right. I have said this 200 million times and will say it again. To me privacy is everything. A wedding of 10 or a wedding of 200 needs to have its own space. On the day you say “I will love you forever” and make the biggest commitment  of your life, do without strangers in bathing suits joining in please. I am not saying that resorts do not have privacy, some do I can tell you what resorts to choose just call me or email me I do not have any problem telling you where Not to have your wedding. Well OK then. Christina and Matt great wedding choice. Christina was refereed to me by a beautiful bride a few posted down Thanks Steph. After a few times talking and getting to know each other we decided Villa Marcella was the spot. This Cabo beach front Villa has 5 bedrooms sleeps 14 and is over 10,000 sg feet. Oh did I mention the beach front is almost totally private. The wedding was beautiful. Food off the chart , Thank you Matter of Taste Catering amazing crew another Cabo BFF. Wedding at Club 96- Villas del Mar-Los Cabos Mexico

A Beautiful wedding in Cabo San Lucas. Photography by Alec and T.  Cabo Floral Designs by Pina! Club 96 is located in Los Cabos Mexico. This private venue is beautiful. Maybe beautiful is not a strong enough word? Its crazy breathtaking, insanely gorgeous  and the food is off the chart! If you are undecided on a destination for your wedding?? I highly suggest you give me a call. Cabo San Lucas is truly the spot. The weather in Cabo is almost perfect year round.. Maybe a little warm in August and September. When I am on vacation I like it warm.  The bug issue is nothing like other tropical destinations. I have been to other locations that have mosquitoes are like B-52 bombers.. I do not like animals that bite or sting.. Rain is almost zero. Mexicans are loving and caring, smiles and hugs comes natural to the culture.  In my mind nothing compares to a Cabo destination wedding.What a great chance for family and friends to bond over a few days. One & Only Palmilla Los Cabos Beautiful Chapel Wedding

This One and Only Palmilla wedding is very special to me. The Bride Ashley and the Groom Adam will forever be in our hearts. Ashley contacted me in March 2 months before her wedding, she was just starting her wedding planning. We talked for the longest time about everything in Cabo. I knew that she was going to be wonderful to work with. Sometimes in life you meet certain people that just click with you in seconds, Ashley was one of those. With in about a week she was on a plane with Adam. They had their hearts set on a different resort in Cabo.. And then the day before they left they saw the chapel. It  really was the perfect location for this couples wedding.The event was beautiful~As always its a pleasure to work with Arianna the resorts wonderful wedding planner. The event was beautiful. The floral designs were create by Pina. I loved how she tied in the buttons from Adams uniform jacket to the bridal bouquet. Ashley’s hair and make up by Suzanne Morel Ashley and Adam Congratulations! We are  looking forward to seeing both of them again soon! Alec and T.

The wedding chapel at One and Only Palmilla is located in Los Cabos Mexico. This quaint chapel is a really big draw for many brides. Its a great option if you are not leaning towards a beach ceremony, and if your weddings is not to large. One & Only is on my list of top wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas.The customer service at this resort is unreal. Oh  the One & Only Palmilla wedding planner Arianna Ocampo is super woman. Dara and Steven decided to tie the knot in the Month of May. The Month of May is a very good for weddings in Los Cabos. Its a very busy month that gets booked up very fast, try to book early if possible. The weather is perfect and its not high season for tourism so its a win win for weddings. Dara had visited One & Only long before she even met Steven, she had a dream of a wedding at the resort many years before! I always say YES dreams do come true!! Congratulations Dara and Steven ~ T

When my friend Amy Abbott contacted me to do family shoot I jumped on the chance. We have been so busy with weddings the past few years,  we have not had time to do many of these sessions.. And I love them!   We met the Abbots at a local beach and spent about an hour and 30 minutes that seemed to go by in a flash. If you have children take the time and have a family sessions.. They grow up so fast..Once they grow up you will treasure good photos. They are priceless memories of moments in time. These photos will forever preserve the Abbot family laughing and loving each other in Cabo San Lucas Mexico… How cool is that! This was a great day, we laughed and played with friends! xT

Mexico Destination weddings. A great excuse for a perfect wedding. I was thinking about the advantages to a destination wedding and I could not stop counting them. Beautiful surroundings~your closest family and friends~Mini vacation~bounding of family’s~Less stress~Smaller group saves your budget~suntans and margaritas~no shoes~no office~ I can go on and on. I am sitting in my Office in Cabo San Lucas this very minute. I have a view of a golf coarse that ends at the ocean, The temperature is about 80-85 with a summer breeze… OK you got the picture its just about perfect. No one ever wants to leave Cabo. Its a perfect spot for a wedding getaway. My business is destination.  Alec and I have done 100s of them, they are truly different then a local wedding in so many ways. If done correctly.. with a good wedding planner.. you should have zero stress and the wedding of your dreams. This wedding took place at Hacienda Cocina and Catina a great wedding location in Cabo San Lucas. Thank you Kelsey & Josh for inviting us to shoot your wedding. What a beautiful day it was in Cabo San Lucas Mexico! Why would you have a destination wedding in Los Cabos? I can think of many reasons. Here is one “Memories” take a look at these wedding photos.  How can you put a price on your memories.? Your wedding photos are a direct link to all your memories. Pick your wedding photographer wisely. SSDML is not an easy venue to photograph.The back light is killer. If your Photographer can figure it out and get it right? The results are amazing,  like no other place. This venue has views that will take your breath away. I took one look at Kathryne and all I could think of was this tall beautiful bride has made my day~ and to top it off everything about her was kind, warm, loving and fun!! Cabo Destination Wedding, Cabo Del Sol Club House By Alec and T.Photography

The Cabo Del Sol Club House is a wonderful wedding venue. It’s located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, about 10 minutes from downtown Cabo. Next door to the Club House is the Sheraton Hacienda resort and Fiesta Americana resort, great options for your wedding guests to stay. Cabo Del Sol Club House offers a few different ceremonial site locations, all private and with wonderful ocean views. If you are considering a beach or sand ceremony the club house has an extremely private beach. All beaches in Mexico are public; this beach has limited access so it feels private. It is a Los Cabos wedding venue to consider. Michael and Michelle’s wedding was coordinated by Cabo Del Sol’s event manager Luz Maria. She’s known for her never ending smile and happy-go-lucky attitude. We love her!  Alec and I had the chance to have Michael and Michelle over to our home before their wedding. It’s so great to get to know people on one-on-one before the event if possible (even if it’s just a few phone calls) The wedding day was wonderful and the wedding photos were spectacular. To love and M&M!! T

Thinking of a Villa wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico? Great idea. Cabo has some amazing villas for weddings, and Alec and I know them all. I have my favorite villas so feel free to contact me and I will share the list. When planning a villa wedding, you have many things to think about. Number one, you must hire a wedding planner; do not even think about doing it with out one, even if you own the villa. Contact me, I will direct you. Number two, find that perfect villa. Alec and I work hand-in-hand with Cabo Villas and we have a long, beautiful relationship with the company and trust them completely. I believe the benefits of a villa wedding outweigh the extra work and if you’re a wedding planner that is on top of everything, you should not feel a thing. LOL. I am all about privacy and intimacy and Villa Events provide you with both. Villa Cielito is located in Cabo San Lucas corridor, about 15 minutes from downtown Cabo. It has 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms and sleeps 16, one of the few villas you can stay up late and dance all night! Praise God for no neighbors. Sara and Caden could not have been a nicer couple, super easy going and a joy to photograph.I think the photos of this wedding captured the day perfectly! Beautiful Cabo villa wedding Vista Bellena in Cabo San Lucas!! I love villa weddings and this villa is possibly my favorite!! The villa is located in Cabo Del Sol,  5 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms Sleeps 12 this beach front villa is out of this world and works perfect for weddings. Rented by my friends at  CaboVillas. Many Villas do not work for events but this one is perfect! Christie and Ricky’s destination wedding was incredibly beautiful, every thing worked! Thank You Amy Abbot events. As always we loved working with you! And amazing Floral designs from “Pina” Her work is fresh and totally creative every-time. At the very last minute Ricky talked Christie into a trash the dress session! When we finished the shoot Christie looked at me and said that was the most fun she had on her whole wedding trip! Cabo Azul resort does it again! What a great destination wedding venue. This very cool resort is a must see when planning your Cabo wedding. I have said it before and I will say it again, This resort is hip and has a young fresh feeling to it. Cabo Azul is famous for its totally unique open air wedding chapel, Its a great option for brides that do not want a beach ceremony ! Aubrey and Nishant had a beautiful group of wedding guests that traveled from all around the world. I think 2 of the best wedding speeches I have heard in a long time. I always say that you can tell a lot about the couple by the bridal party! And this group was wonderful! It was a complete joy to be apart of this day.

Wedding planners in Cabo San Lucas ALEC and T. PHOTOGRAPHY

Cabo wedding planners.  I have brides ask me all the time this question. Do I need a wedding planner? What wedding coordinator do you and Alec suggest? What if the resort has a wedding planner do I still need to use an independent company. My answer is always this.Tell me about your wedding?  And then what resort? Many of the resorts have amazing planners and other resort wedding planners are just to busy. The planners at the resorts are not there to make your fishing reservations or pack your gift bags! So depending on how resourceful you are you may need an outside wedding coordinator. Alec and I work with almost everyone in town and of coarse have out favorites! depending on your wedding your personality and your needs is how we suggest a wedding coordinator in Cabo. Some planners in Cabo are extremely seasoned and have designed 100s of weddings.  Others are very creative and specialize in higher end. And then others that are great at just the basic guide you help out on the day of. Depending on your wedding needs and your budget.

Cabo Wedding Photographer ALEC and T.PHOTOGRAPHY

A little advice from a destination wedding photographer. Lets chat about your ceremony set up. If you think its not important think again. If your wedding photography is important to you then so should your ceremony set up! I recently did a wedding and the set up was worse then United Airlines and they had the entire beach to take advantage of I put some guidelines below. Find out whom is placing the chairs and the chuppa and do not assume that they know what they are doing take charge and make sure your wedding planner or florist is aware of what you want. The pointers below will make sure your wedding photos are the best they can be!!

1.The set up should be in an angle to the sun ( you do not want to be squinting the whole time)

2. Leave at least 9 feet from the last row of chairs and the chuppa ( this is a big one)

3. The aisle should be wide and long 3 people should be able to comfortable walk down side by side

4. If using urns or vases at the front they need to be far enough apart that they do not cause shadows in the bride and grooms faces

5. Do not have anything hanging down from the front of the Chuppa or fabric draping to low.

6. Look to see what is directly behind you.it will be in your photos( trash cans,beach showers you get the idea)

7. Do not have the back of the ceremony set up to close to a wall or pool  ( your photography and videographer need room  to back up)

Cabo Wedding Las Ventanas Resort by Alec & T. Photography

A beautiful Cabo wedding that had it all!!  Most of all pure love and joy. Sean and Christine’s wedding was held at the wonderful Las Ventanas resort in Cabo Mexico. Alec and I just finished editing the wedding video,  as I showed the video to a friend she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said.  Wow!! That is the happiest bride I have ever seen.  I think that says it all.  This couple needs to win the award of best dressed wedding couple. Sean’s custom made European suit was off the charts and Christine’s Valentino dress with her Jimmy Choo shoes was academy award worthy. Alec and I would like to thank this beautiful and extremely gracious couple for inviting us to be apart of their wedding day!! T

Fiesta Americana Los Cabos wedding photography by Alec and T.

Shana and Ben’s  destination wedding took place at Fiesta Americana resort located in Cabo Mexico.  This post is very easy for me to write.   A million great things are going through my head about this bride and groom.  I will quote the wedding planner,  April from Baja weddings ” The greatest family I have ever worked with..I LOVE THEM ALL”

I think that sums it up, but I will add a few things. Ben the groom never stopped smiling the entire day,  every time he looked at Shana his eyes would sparkle..I’m not kidding.. he was a super special guy with a heart of gold.  Shana was good from her head to her toes. Totally relaxed and ready to just enjoy her wedding ( I love that) And when I met her Mom and Dad it made perfect reasoning the apple never falls far from the tree.  This was a fairly small wedding so I had the chance to meet everyone and this group was a total and complete joy.  When I started to glance at the photos to grab some for the blog post,  I was happy for them all over again. What most people don’t know is that Alec and I get to relive every wedding as we edit the photos. The time we spend making your wedding memory’s come to life makes us  better photographers.  So thank you Shana and Ben,  we are better wedding photographers !  Big bear hugs T

Beautiful Jewish Destination Wedding at One & Only Palmilla Los Cabos Mexico

What do you get when you put this combination together??  A Groom that is a surgeon,  a Bride that is a surgeon, Sarai Flores from Signature weddings, Martha Huerta from One & Only , and yes of coarse Alec & T. Photography ?  ANSWER: A perfect wedding with all the right detail . Pretty bold statement, but true. LOL.  This Cabo San Lucas destination wedding took place at the One & Only Palmilla located in Mexico.  Alec and I have shot many Jewish weddings in the past.  But I think this ceremony was exceptional.  The traditions and the Rabbis words really touched my heart.  He talk about the relationship of the Bride and Groom with passion and conviction. I am looking forward to editing the wedding video to hear these words again. Alec and I would like to congratulate Gene and Jeannie on the exciting life they have ahead of them. To love,  to life and to future happiness!! T

The One & Only Palmilla is considered to be the premier resort of Mexico! The resort lends itself for wedding photos worthy of any bridal magazine. The One & Only is a dream wedding back drop. This destination wedding was in my eyes perfect. And I have these photos as evidence. hehehehe. Audra and Brads wedding was romantic and private. The details I loved, Audra’s flowers and shoes added the perfect touches, not to mention that Brad looked like a movie star in his exquisite tuxedo. And Audra put herself together perfect, like a royal. The love that they share for each other was so easy to capture, I’m so happy that Alec and I had the chance to be apart of this day.
